 How Royally!

AL wins

It's

Fourth

Consecutive

Game

The theme of striking early and holding on were the main differencs in the AL's victory.

The NL struck first behind the Cubs Kris Bryant's first pitch solo dinger off AL starting pitcher Chris Sale. However, the next two innings were all AL as the Royals Eric Hosmer and Salvador Perez hit bombs off NL starter Johnny Cueto to give the AL the lead and the eventual win. Hosmer finished the game with 2 hits and 2 RBI's; he was named the game's MVP. Perez drove in two runs all on one swing. The NL added another run behind the Marlins Marcell Ozuna's RBI single. The NL had a shot to completely turn the game around................they had the bases loaded in the 8th until the Astros Will Harris's decisive thrid strike pitch on the Cardinals Aledyms Diaz dashed all hope

The AL regains home field advantage in the World Series this fall.

Before the game, Big Papi  gave his last All-Star speech to his AL teammates and received a standing rotation from the crowd.

Next year's edition will be in Miami.
