USA Gets The Best Of A Slugfest
Unlike last year's pitcher dominated theme, the bats ruled the roost
Balls were flying off the bats as a total of eight homers left the yard in a 10-6 USA win, where getting the third out was a tough of a task. The World's Yusniel Diaz (Dodgers) led the way with two home runs. Seven players, in total, hit home runs
Pitchers had a hard of a time in containing the ball in the park as they would get the first two outs without any problem, but then would run into the long ball when it came to the third out. It wasn't until late in the game where there was actually a scoreless inning. On a brighter note, the USA's Mitch Keller (Pirates) started the game in a perfect way .
The key moment of the game happened when the USA's Brendan Rodgers (Rockies) strikeout turned into a wild-pitch, allowing the go-ahead run to score from third base .
The USA's Bubba Trammell (Reds) was named the MVP with his 2-for-2 performance where he hit a home run and a triple.
