Red Sox Prized Top Prospect
Shows MVP Skills
The Red Sox scouting department knew that Cuban sensation Yoan Moncada had big league potential early last year. In a bidding war against the Yankees. the Red Sox went in and snatched him up. In a very short period of time, it has proven to have paid off big thus far. Moncada showed off his defensive prowess and his big bat in a decisive moment to lead the World Team to victory and MVP honors. The World end up crushing the U.S. team 11-3.
Astros co-top prospect Alex Bregman nearly hit for the cycle as he was a home run short. In a system stocked with prospects, the Cubs Eloy Jimenez showed off his bat and made a spectacular catch on a foul ball.

Last year's Futures Game players have already gotten a taste of the majors. It was started by the Cubs Kyle Schwarber, who won MVP. Since then, a handful of players have made an impact in the next level, with more still coming up. We have seen the Rockies Trevor Story come out of the gates to start the season. Here's a list of Futures who is having (has had) a taste of Today.
