Bigger and Expansive
As part as the new collective bargaining agreement , the postseason got bigger and expansive. The number of teams got expanded from 10 to 12. In addition, the wild-card round gets expanded from a single game to a best of three series. Winning with the top two best records in each league becomes important as the two best teams get a first round bye, while the division winner with the third best record plays in the wild-card series against the #6 seed. It's changes for the better as the postseason expands.
