2024-25 OFFSEASON COVERAGE
Generational Superstar Gets The Maximized Deal Across Town
Generational outfielder Juan Soto headlined this season's free agent class. He looked to maximize his value-to the point it will go past the 700 million mark set by Shohei Ohtani. The mark got shattered as he signed a record-breaking 15 yr, 765 million deal with the New York Mets. The Mets weren't kidding that they had the money to sign a player of that caliber as they are serious of bringing a title to the Queens. Better yet, they snatched him away from their crosstown rivals in the Bronx. In addition, the Mets were able to re-sign slugging first baseman Pete Alonso for two more years.
This past off-season saw Corbin Burnes go home to the desert; Blake Snell joining the World Champs; Max Fried going to the Bronx; Alex Bregman going to Beantown; Wily Adames going out West to the bay.
This was a pretty interesting off-season where players changed teams. Let's see what next year's off-season will bring.
