2017 ALL-STAR GAME

Cano Homers In A Win

 2

Rosters

The 88th Annual Midsummer Classic needed 10 innings to determine a winner.

Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano homered in the top of the 10th,off the Cubs Wade Davis, to lead the AL to  a 2-1 win over the NL. This is the AL's fifth consecutive victory over their league counterparts.

The Indians Andrew Miller closed out the game in strikeout fashion against the Dodgers Cody Bellinger to secure the win. The Red Sox Craig Kimbrel pitched a heck of a 9th to be charged with the win.

In addition to the Cano homer, Miguel Sano drove in the other run. The Cardinals Yadier Molina drove in the NL's lone run with a home run.

It was basically a pitchers' duel as each team's perspective starters pitched a combination of three scoreless innings racking up four strikeouts. It was not until the 5th inning where the AL scored the first run of the game.

Next summer's classic will be in the Nation's Capitol.

The monster rookie season of Yankees outfielder, Aaron Judge, spilled over to the annual Home Run Derby contest as he blasted through three, hard-fought rounds en route to the title. It was an amazing debut for the heavy AL-ROY favorite.

How did defending champion, Giancarlo Stanton, do? How about the rest of the field?
