Consistent Play Garner Respective League Rookie-Of-The-Year Honors
This year's rookie class was highlighted by the #1 overall prospect in Rays shortstop Wander Franco. However it did not take away from one player that picked off where left off in the postseason, to, another player that broke out with his team out of Spring Training making an immediate impact. Both players were consistent throughout the season rewarding their teams with competitive grit (the Rays won their division and made it to the postseason: the Reds stayed competitive in their division). As the end result, both of these players won their respective Rookie-of-the-Year awards.
Congratulations to Rays outfielder Randy Arozorena and to Reds second baseman Jonathan India.
THE FINAL TOP 25 PROSPECT RANKINGS
Due to the delay of the minor league season by a month, the halfway point happened late as well. A couple of levels did not have their annual all-star game as the result. In addition, the season was elongated until the end of September. Therefore, the mid-season TOP 25 prospects list could not be released in a timely manner. To make that up, here's the final TOP 25 prospects list. The timing of the release should be back to normal next season.
After the graduation of Rays top prospect, SS Wander Franco, Orioles C Adley Rutschman takes over the #1 position. The prospect has excelled throughout the organization's farm system. He is knocking on the door of the majors. Will next season be the year?
