The unlikely run towards winning it all reached a climatic conclusion to end the season. The Atlanta Braves topped their improbable run to the title by beating the AL Champion Houston Astros in 6 games. The Braves pulled off a combination of balanced hitting and pitching to complete the run. Jorge Soler,a hitter acquired during the trade deadline, was named the Series MVP.

No one gave this team a chance to win the coveted Commissioner's trophy. They were underdogs in the DS against the Milwaukee Brewers. They were huge underdogs in the LCS against the Los Angeles Dodgers. They were underdogs against the offensive might of the Houston Astros. They proved those who picked against them wrong at every round. They are the World Champs and on top of the baseball world. They did this without their superstar outfielder in Ronald Acuna Jr (who suffered a season-ending knee injury early in the Summer).
